Refund Policy

The Journal of Knowledge Engineering and Social Development (JKESD) is committed to maintaining transparency and fairness in its publication processes. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which payments made to the journal may or may not be refunded.

All payments made to the journal, including but not limited to article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, and publication service fees, are considered final once the editorial and production process has commenced. These fees cover essential administrative, editorial, peer review coordination, and production services required to process and publish submitted manuscripts.

If an author withdraws a manuscript before the peer review process has begun, a partial refund may be considered after deducting administrative and handling charges. However, once the manuscript has entered the peer review stage, no refund will be issued, as significant editorial resources and reviewer efforts are already committed to the evaluation process.

No refunds will be provided once an article has been accepted for publication, published online, or included in an issue of the journal. Additionally, refunds will not be granted in cases where manuscripts are rejected after peer review, as the review and editorial evaluation services have already been completed.

In exceptional circumstances, such as duplicate payments or technical payment errors, authors may contact the editorial office to request a review of the transaction. Verified duplicate payments will be refunded through the original payment method where possible.
